first time with donuts?! yes please! mom and dad wanted to wait until their kids were a bit older than one to have them explore the sugary sweet goodness of donuts and they also wanted to document it, amazing right?!
these incredible donuts came from colorado donuts in pasadena and i had a very hard time not buying one of each! their specialty donuts are sweet, soft and very flavorful without being too hard to eat (you know sometimes the donuts are too overflowing with toppings that it’s too hard to bite into. not with these which makes them perfect first-time donuts for the twins – and even for my daughters too because i had to buy some for us!)
what i love about their first time with the donuts is that each child had their own personality with how they explored the donuts. one destroyed, smashed and kept stealing his sisters while the other calmly picked off the toppings and nibbled on the donuts. the only time she cried was when mom put the donut over her head and she thought she wasn’t getting any. she kept signing for more even though there were lots of donuts in front of her.
