welcome little one! this newborn lifestyle session is an absolute favorite for so many wonderful reasons. driving up to union city, the weather was crazy with strong winds and heavy rain, which made us all feel like it was traditional dutch weather. this incredibly fun family is originally from the netherlands so it was really nice to “practice” my preschool level dutch. plus i was treated to a delicious dutch tradition, beschuit met muisjes. a crispy biscuit, layered nicely with butter and topped with candied anise seeds in the color of the baby’s gender. after our treat, we spent the rest of our day dancing to dutch kid songs, chasing trains and bed jumping.
midway our session, there was a break in the weather. with rain not returning until the evening, it was the perfect break to bring out the rain boots and head over to the local park for fresh air and nature. stay tuned for our outdoor journey in part two of this sweet newborn lifestyle session! 🙂
