back in the best month ever (october), one of the many giveaways that i did was to learn more what it would mean to win a full family session. the winner of the giveaway was this incredible and beautiful family. mom shared her story about meeting her husband abroad and their long distance relationship between california and scotland. their story was heartwarming and her story reminded me a bit of my story of how i met my dutch husband. when they were ready to expand their family, they were surprised that they were going to have identical twins (and mom is a twin too!). i will not delve into their story but knowing that she was balancing twin five month old girls and somehow found the time in between it all to write a beautiful and eloquent letter about their full love story made me want to meet them!
even though they live in novato, we made it work by meeting halfway at san mateo’s coyote point recreation area which was the most fitting place for them. they love hikes, the water and being so close to the airport and seeing the airplanes was a beautiful reminder of all the miles that they traveled for love.

and this shot? this is my ultimate favorite (and i love my silhouette shots)! i wanted to time it with the plane descending. mom and dad were awesome as i asked them to do it a “just a few more times” since it was tricky to get but i think that it was worth it 🙂
