my littlest daughter, carina turned one mid october and i forgot to post this cake smash! seems that i’m a bit behind on personal posts here, oops ha!
this was the first time that she had cake and ideally, i would have had more time to actually bake a cake but alas, time escaped as always. so i knew that i had to go the cake box route but almost every time i’m in the cake aisle, the boxes and all their crazy ingredients scare me away. but i remembered this post from legal miss sunshine about using pillsbury purely simple cake box and frosting and it was super tasty, moist and with nothing crazy in the ingredient list. this was perfect for her first delve into cake goodness.
it took her a bit to figure out what we put in front of her. in fact she touched it but that was it. she wasn’t a fan. until big sister lead the way. then she was all face first into the cake.
ahhh cake smashes, too much fun haha!
