family session at dolores park

after we spent our time at clarion alley, we headed to dolores park so we could let the twins relax, roam around and capture a few more traditional photos. dad was awesome and made a stop at bi-rite creamery (the line was surprisingly small at that time) so they could cool off. one thing that we did not know was that dolores park was in the middle of a huge renovation so most of the park was under construction and with it being a gorgeous day, the park was packed. even when we set up a blanket, newcomers would plop down right behind them while i was in the middle of shooting so there was a lot of careful navigation and photoshop cloning to ensure that they weren’t in the shot. plus this spot in front of the palm trees was on a small hill so we had to make sure that the super active twins didn’t roll down the hill (and well to be honest, make sure that i didn’t roll off the hill in the middle of shooting). so maybe a bit challenging but still a lot of fun just hanging out with their awesome selves.

i have to say aren’t these the best shirts ever?!

oh you fancy huh? well no diggity-no doubt because california knows how to party (heehee).family session with twins at parkfamily session with twins at parkfamily session with twins at park

i will admit that shooting with seven month old twins is really tricky and can be difficult to capture them both looking at camera or when you have one staying still, the other will roam. there may or may not have been some head swapping but i will never disclose which ones 🙂

anyway, this photo here is one of my favorites because it makes me laugh as it shows a small example of shooting with the twins. right when i wanted to capture a sweet photo of her looking at mom, bam, a foot in the face followed by her brother giggling while sister is completely unfazed by it. i have a feeling that this is something that occurs regularly with them.
